Hillrock Pinot Noir Solera Bourbon (75cl)

A bourbon from Hillrock Estate Distillery in Ancram, in New York's Hudson Valley, in a 750ml bottle. Hillrock grows its own grain on the estate and malts it on site. The bourbon is aged by the Solera method, a fractional system more often associated with Spanish sherry and Madeira, in which older and younger whiskey are continuously blended. After Solera ageing it is finished in Pinot Noir wine casks, which add red-fruit notes and a softer, wine-influenced layer of oak.
