Hillrock Solera Aged Bourbon comes from Hillrock Estate Distillery in Ancram, in New York's Hudson Valley, and is sold in a 75cl bottle. The distillery grows its own grain on the estate and runs an on-site malt house.
The bourbon is aged by the Solera method, a fractional system more often associated with Spanish sherry and Madeira. Each bottling keeps a portion of older whiskey alongside successively younger barrels, giving a layered, integrated profile.
