Hinotori is a blended Japanese whisky from the Hekinan distillery in Aichi, founded in 1949. This is a limited batch of five-year-old whisky made from malt and grain in a pot still, in a 70cl bottle at 43% ABV. It was aged for five years in used whisky barrels and is not chill-filtered. The colour is bright gold. The nose is fresh and fruity, with flowers, exotic fruits and a hint of apple and pear. The palate is smooth and medium bodied with ripe fruits, and the finish is lightly vanilla and softly sweet.
