Holyrood – Pitch (70cl, 49.4%)

Pitch is a Lowland single malt from Holyrood Distillery in Edinburgh, bottled in 2025 at 49.4% in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring. The distillers used Scottish pot-still malt and brown malt, both normally found in dark porter beers, together with two red wine yeasts, Pepe Nero and Toro Nero. The spirit was matured in Oloroso hogsheads. The nose offers cocoa, blackcurrant and honey. The palate is sweet and full-bodied, with red fruit compote, hazelnuts and a savoury note of green pepper. The finish carries coffee, raisins and oak spice.
