A peated single malt from Holyrood Distillery in Edinburgh, bottled in 2026 at 47.1% without chill-filtration or added colour. The mash is 75.73% heavily peated Highland malt, with Scotch pot still malt, Plumage Archer and brown malt, fermented with a range of yeasts.
The casks are 78.58% first-fill bourbon barrels, 14.28% former rum barriques and 7.14% Oloroso octaves. The worldwide outturn is 3,500 bottles, and the label borrows the imagery of romantic novels.
The nose combines distinct peat smoke and sweetness with smoked pears, buttery dough, gooseberries and bonfire smoke. The palate balances strong peat and sweetness, with black pepper, ginger and grapefruit. The smoke builds in the finish alongside roasted nuts and drying oak.
