Ichiro's Malt Double Distilleries Chichibu x Komagatake 2021 (70cl, 53.5%)

Ichiro's Malt Double Distilleries is a blend of malt whiskies from Chichibu, the distillery founded by Ichiro Akuto, and from Mars Shinshu, whose malt goes by the name Komagatake. This is the 2021 edition, bottled at 53.5% in a 70cl bottle. The edition numbers 10,200 bottles and was made for Europe. The nose is intense and sweet, with vanilla, mango, pineapple, apricot and coconut. The palate is rich and creamy, with caramel, peach, honey and cinnamon and a touch of citrus. The finish is long, with toffee, coconut and a hint of spice.
