This is Batch No. 21 of the Silver Series from Tin Shed Distilling Co, an Australian single malt bottled at 46%.
It is drawn mainly from cask 150, a re-charred French oak red wine cask, with elements of other tawny and apera casks added for balance.
The nose shows honey, stubble fields, earthy and grassy notes and malted barley, later moving to dried fruit and orange zest. The palate opens with eucalyptus, fresh cut cedar and apple skins, then turns to fruit trifle with burnt toffee. The finish lingers gently, led by cedar and gum leaves.
