This is a 15 year old Irish single malt from a hogshead, a 2002 vintage bottled at 56.9% in a 70cl bottle. Only 209 bottles were filled. The cask arrived from Ireland and the whisky was aged in Scotland, and the artwork for Release 19 is by Three Dogs.
The nose is full of apples, with pear tarte tatin, honeycomb, malt biscuits and a gentle waxy note. The palate is thick and malty with floral honey, baked apples and poached pears. The finish is long, warm and gently peppery, with honeyed malt and lemon zest.
