A bourbon from Ironclad Distillery Co. in the USA, bottled at 47.5% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour.
The mash bill uses four grains: corn, wheat, rye and malted barley. After distillation the bourbon spends six months in used casks that previously held maple syrup from Waddington, New York. The cask gives a subtle sweetness and complex aromas, without smoke.
Ironclad was founded in 2015 in Newport News, Virginia, and specialises in bourbon.
