Isle of Arran 10 Year Old is a single malt from the independent Isle of Arran Distillery, founded in 1995 at Lochranza on the north coast of the island. It is distilled in copper pot stills and bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
It is matured for at least ten years in ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks, the first adding vanilla and citrus, the second richness and fruit. It is non-chill filtered and has no added colouring.
The nose is citrus, green apple, honey and vanilla with light oak. The palate is rich vanilla sweetness with cinnamon, apple, citrus and soft oak, and the finish is long with apple, citrus and a little cinnamon.
