Ardor Peated is a Danish single malt from Isle of Fionia, made at the Nyborg distillery and bottled at 48%. It matured first in ex-bourbon casks and then in heavily toasted STR casks. It is unfiltered and organic, with no added colour. The nose is medium smoky, with sweet notes of Finnish liquorice, sea salt and sweet campfire smoke. On the palate sweet liquorice and sweet smoke return, with plenty of spice and ripe fruit towards the end. It is described as a peated whisky from the milder end of the style.
