Isle of Harris – The Hearach Oloroso Cask Matured (70cl, 46%)

The Hearach Oloroso Cask Matured is a single malt that is distilled, matured, married and bottled on the Isle of Harris. The spirit is lightly peated, at 12-15ppm, and the whisky is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle with no added colour and without chill filtration. It was matured in oloroso casks chosen for their quality from Bodega José y Miguel Martín in Andalusia, southern Spain. The nose brings orange peel, warming spices, fireside smoke and toasted hazelnuts. Winter spices, green herbs, white chocolate, walnut, woodsmoke, dried oranges and liquorice are also found in the glass.
