Jura 12 Year Old is a single malt Scotch whisky from the Isle of Jura, off Scotland's west coast, in a 70cl bottle at 40% ABV. It spends twelve years in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels, then is finished in aged Oloroso sherry casks.
Gentle smoke runs beneath honey, citrus, dark chocolate and nutty notes.
The nose is dark chocolate, honey, walnut and soft citrus with a restrained smoky edge. On the palate come coffee, brown sugar, banana, liquorice and dried fruit, and the finish is warming, with coffee, chocolate and spice.
