This is a 14-year-old single malt from Isle of Jura, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky was matured in a selection of American white oak, bourbon and rye whiskey casks. The mix of woods is described as layering vanilla, caramel, tropical fruit and spice.
The nose opens with fresh lemon zest and candied orange, followed by mint leaves and blossom. On the palate the floral notes continue alongside fresh herbs, sweet caramelised nuts, juicy tropical fruit, buttery vanilla and crisp spiced apple with cinnamon. The finish stays fruity, with woody spice and a little warming pepper balanced by sweet, nutty caramel.
