Isle of Jura aged 20 years, a single cask matured in a refill Oloroso sherry butt and bottled by Blind Summit Whisky at 53.4% in a 50cl bottle. A total of 60 bottles were released.
It is shy at first and opens with time and a little air.
The nose offers orchard fruit and apple rings with leather, salt and a soft coastal edge. On the palate come caramel, earth and tobacco leaf over a dry but juicy core, with a herb liqueur note and pepper. The finish is dry and lingering, with leather and gentle salt.
