A 21 year old single malt from the Isle of Jura distillery, bottled at 44% ABV and matured in bourbon and sherry casks. It has won several Silver Outstanding awards at the International Wine & Spirit Competition, in 2013, 2014 and 2017.
On the nose, marshmallow nougat, toffee and honey sit with malted milk balls, wheatgrass juice and cashew butter, plus vanilla, sweet nuts and hints of Tokaji and port. The palate brings stewed rhubarb and damson jam, winter cake, marzipan and dry roasted peanuts, with cardamom, saffron and a touch of oak. The finish is medium in length, with chewy oak tannins and a late return of marshmallow sweetness.
