Isle of Jura – Islanders Expressions No 1 Barbados Rum Cask (1L, 40%)

This is a single malt from Isle of Jura, the first release in the Islanders Expressions series, in a 1 litre bottle at 40% ABV. The whisky matured in ex-bourbon casks and was then finished in ex-rum casks, which give it its fruit character. The nose offers rich tropical fruit, citrus, coconut, vanilla and nectarines. On the palate come sweet baked peaches, bananas, passion fruit, papaya and mango. The finish is creamy, with warm, sweet spice and a lingering fullness.
