A lightly peated single malt from Isle of Jura, bottled at 43% ABV and since discontinued. It was matured in ex-bourbon and sherry casks.
The nose is honey, oak and lemon zest with clove, sandalwood and a faint iodine peat, plus almond paste, candied apple and soft sherry.
The palate starts with viscous honey, then moves to smoke and spice: clove, pepper, cinnamon and tropical fruit, with leather, earth and hot buttered toast. The finish is medium and warming, with papaya, salted fudge, spicy oak and cocoa, ending on a soft peaty echo.
