This is a single cask Isle of Raasay, distilled in 2017 and bottled in 2021 at 4 years old by Berry Bros & Rudd. It is the first independent bottling from the Raasay distillery, and it comes from the distillery's peated spirit. The cask strength of 56.1% yielded 240 bottles, with no colouring or chill filtration.
The spirit spent three years in a first fill ex-bourbon barrel, then was split between two quarter casks that had held Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez sherry. After six months it was married back together.
The nose offers Sauternes, apricot jam and mace. Peat smoke, soot, orange syrup, dark chocolate and prunes follow on the palate, with a long, smoky finish.
