A 2024 cask strength single malt from the Isle of Raasay distillery in the Scottish Islands, bottled at 61.3% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
It was matured in Bordeaux red wine and Chinquapin virgin oak casks. Raasay's own story is a recent one: in May 2017 Bill Dobbie and Alasdair Day brought barley growing back to the island after more than 40 years. The distillery's fermentation is unusually long, running 96 to 110 hours, and it uses local water filtered through volcanic sedimentary rock.
