A single malt Scotch whisky from the Isle of Raasay in the Inner Hebrides. Dùn Cana takes its name from the island's highest mountain.
This edition is matured in ex-sherry quarter casks. The smaller casks bring the spirit into closer contact with the wood, which deepens the fruit, spice and sweetness.
The nose offers red fruit, raisin, plum and dark cherry, with dark chocolate, vanilla, sweet spice and a light thread of smoke. The palate is full, soft and structured, balancing sherry sweetness with malt, and showing dried fruit, caramel, cocoa and warm spice. The finish is long, warm and gently smoky.
