J.J. Corry The Battalion Batch 3 (50%)

The Battalion Batch No.3 is an Irish single grain whiskey from independent bonder J.J. Corry, bottled at 50% ABV. It blends two 6-year-old grain whiskeys matured in ex-bourbon barrels. Each cask was then decanted into ex-tequila barrels and rested for six months on the McGuane family farm before the two were blended. It is non-chill filtered and keeps its natural colour. The nose has Irish whiskey's floral character, with agave and fresh orange citrus. On the palate come honeyed agave, oak spice, vanilla and caramel, leading to minerality and paprika spice.
