Jack Daniel's 150th Anniversary Tennessee Whiskey (1L, 50%)

Jack Daniel's 150th Anniversary Tennessee Whiskey is a commemorative release from the Jack Daniel Distillery in Lynchburg, Tennessee, issued in 2016 to mark 150 years since the distillery was registered in 1866. It is bottled at 50% ABV (100 proof) in a 1 litre decanter, and each bottle is individually numbered. The grain bill matches Old No. 7: 80% corn, 12% barley and 8% rye, mellowed through sugar maple charcoal. The difference is the maturation, in lightly toasted new American oak barrels kept in the Angel's Roost high on Coy Hill. The nose is caramel, vanilla, butterscotch and lightly toasted oak. The palate shows butterscotch, toffee, caramel and vanilla, and the finish is full, smooth and lingering.
