Jack Daniel's Master Distiller Series No. 6 is a Tennessee whiskey honouring Jimmy Bedford, the sixth master distiller at the Jack Daniel Distillery in Lynchburg. Bedford held the role from 1988 to 2008.
It was released in September 2017 as the sixth and final edition of a series issued between 2012 and 2017. Each bottle is individually numbered and comes in a box bearing Bedford's portrait. The whiskey is charcoal mellowed through the Lincoln County Process, aged in new American oak and bottled at 86 proof (43%).
The nose is sweet vanilla, toasted oak and caramel with a hint of spice. The palate is smooth and full bodied, with toffee and soft oak, and the finish is medium with lingering vanilla and warm oak.
