Distillery Series Selection #011 is a straight Tennessee whiskey from Jack Daniel's, finished in añejo tequila barrels. It is a limited edition in a 37.5cl bottle at 45% (90 proof), selected by whiskey taster Danny Lamb.
The American white oak barrels first aged Jack Daniel's Tennessee whiskey, then matured añejo tequila in Mexico, and returned to Lynchburg to finish this whiskey. The finish brings together agave and oak.
The nose is sweet citrus with light oak. The palate offers brown sugar and dried spices, and the finish carries notes of the matured añejo tequila with the sweetness of Tennessee whiskey.
