Jack Daniel's No. 27 Gold (70cl)

Jack Daniel's No. 27 Gold is a Tennessee whiskey from the Jack Daniel Distillery in Lynchburg, in a 70cl bottle. It starts as the Old No. 7 recipe, mellowed through sugar-maple charcoal, and is aged in new charred American oak. It then gains a second maturation in maple-wood barrels and is filtered through maple charcoal again, a step called double mellowing. It was first a travel-retail exclusive and reached wider release in 2015. The nose is warm maple and vanilla with a touch of toffee. The palate layers maple sweetness with toast and toffee, and a gentle lemon brightness lifts the long, mellow finish.
