Jack Daniel's No. 27 Gold is a double barreled, double mellowed Tennessee whiskey, bottled at 40% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It starts from the Old No. 7 mash and is matured in new American white oak, then spends a further six to twelve months in maple wood barrels. It passes through the Lincoln County Process charcoal mellowing a second time before bottling. It first appeared in travel retail in 2015, with a wider US release in 2018.
The nose has maple syrup, ripe banana, raisin bread and baking spice. The palate is sweet, with caramel, layered maple, nutmeg and cinnamon. The finish is long, with milk chocolate, candied banana and lingering maple.
