Jack Daniel's – Old No. 7 Collector's Tin (70cl, 40%)

This is Jack Daniel's Old No. 7, the Tennessee whiskey from Lynchburg, in a 70cl bottle at 40% ABV. It comes in a collectable tin as a limited edition. Like every Jack Daniel's, it is filtered drop by drop through sugar maple charcoal, stacked three metres high, before it goes into white oak casks. This step is known as charcoal mellowing, and it is what makes the whiskey a Tennessee whiskey rather than a bourbon. The nose is usually described as sweet ripe fruit, and the palate as round, with caramel, vanilla and wood.
