Jack Daniel's Single Barrel Coy Hill High Proof is a barrel-strength Tennessee whiskey in a 750ml bottle. Strength varies by barrel, from 68.7% to 74.15% ABV.
The barrels come from the top floors of Rickhouses #8 and #13, on Coy Hill, the highest point of the distillery grounds in Lynchburg. The mashbill is 80% corn, 12% malted barley and 8% rye, and the whiskey is bottled uncut with minimal filtration.
The nose offers oak, baking spice, caramel, crème brûlée and molasses. The palate is hot and bold, with cinnamon, butterscotch and mince pie, and water brings out coffee cake, blackberry jam and leather. The finish is long, with bitter chocolate and black coffee.
