Jack Daniel's – Single Barrel Strength (70cl, 64.5%)

This is a Tennessee whiskey from Jack Daniel's, bottled at barrel strength of 64.5% in a 70cl bottle. It is a limited release. Like every Jack Daniel's, it is made with iron-free water from a cave spring in Lynchburg and mellowed drop by drop through a three-metre stack of burnt sugar maple charcoal before it goes into white oak casks. The notes describe buttered corn, a little cinnamon and plenty of caramel on the nose. Grilled banana, Malaga ice cream, sharp cinnamon and melted dark chocolate follow on the palate, and the finish brings red currants and pink pepper.
