James E Pepper 1776 Straight Bourbon (70cl, 46%)

This is a straight bourbon from the James E Pepper Distillery, bottled at 46% ABV (92 proof) in a 70cl bottle. The distillery stood idle from 1967 and returned to production in 2017 after a thorough rebuild. The whiskey is made once more to the original recipe from the past. The nose offers rye, vanilla, oak, glue and caramel. On the palate vanilla, oak, clove and chocolate lead. The finish is of medium length, with vanilla, oak and nuts.
