Jameson Caskmates Stout Edition (1L, 40%)

Jameson Caskmates Stout Edition is a triple-distilled Irish blend, bottled at 40% in a 1 litre bottle. It was made with Franciscan Well Brewery in Cork: used Jameson casks were first filled with Irish stout, then returned to Midleton, where Jameson whiskey was finished in them. It is chill-filtered and has colouring added. The stout cask brings coffee, cocoa and toffee notes with a light touch of hops. On the nose there are green apples and pears with mild pot still spice, alongside creamy vanilla. The palate opens sweet and soft, with hops and cocoa, then marzipan, mocha and charred oak. The finish is long and sweet, with milk chocolate and butterscotch.
