Jameson Crested (70cl, 40%)

Jameson Crested is a triple-distilled Irish blend that combines a high proportion of pot still whiskey with grain whiskey. It is composed from whiskeys matured in first-fill bourbon and sherry casks, and bottled at 40%. The name recalls 1963, when Jameson first filled its own whiskey into bottles at Bow Street. It took the Crested name in 2016, when it was renamed from Crested Ten. The character leans towards sherry, with toffee, caramel, candied orange, raisins, vanilla, dark chocolate and toasted wood. The nose shows lively sherry notes with ripe fruit and vanilla. The palate adds spice and chocolate, and the finish is warm and lasting, with oak and a little sweetness.
