Jameson John (70cl, 40%)

Jameson John is an Irish blended whiskey in a 70cl bottle at 40% ABV, made at the Midleton Distillery in County Cork. It joins pot still whiskey from malted and unmalted barley with grain whiskey, and the blend matures in oak casks, including Spanish sherry butts. The pot still whiskey is distilled in three stills, while the grain whiskey runs through a continuous still with three columns. The whiskey is coloured and chill-filtered. The nose is lightly floral, with spiced wood and a gentle sweetness. On the palate come spice, nuts and vanilla with a touch of sweet sherry, at medium body. The finish is soft and warming.
