Jefferson's Ocean Aged at Sea is a small batch bourbon matured in oak barrels that spend their time at sea. It is bottled at 45% ABV, in a 75cl bottle. Jefferson's was founded in the late 1990s and is named after the third American president. The Aged at Sea approach gave rise to the Jefferson's Ocean line.
The bourbon is amber-caramel in colour. The nose offers dark fruit, sweet corn, brown sugar, vanilla, orange zest, dark honey, caramel and oak. The palate is rich and sweet, with spice, cherries, cinnamon and a note of brine, and the medium finish carries wood, caramel, sea salt and a touch of vanilla.
