Jim Beam Double Oak is a Kentucky straight bourbon from the Jim Beam distillery in Clermont, Kentucky. It is bottled at 43% ABV in a 70cl bottle, with no added colour.
The bourbon is first matured in new, charred American white oak barrels, then moved into a second, freshly toasted barrel. This twice-barrelled maturation brings extra toasted notes and more contact with the wood.
The nose offers vanilla, toasted oak and fine spice with a gentle woody warmth. On the palate come cream caramel, creamy vanilla and dark chocolate, carried by firm oak. The finish is long and soft, with vanilla, dry oak and light caramel.
