Jim Beam Double Oak is a Kentucky straight bourbon bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It is matured twice: first for four years in new American white oak barrels, then in a second freshly charred barrel of the same wood.
The renewed contact with fresh charred oak strengthens the oak spice and the caramel notes.
On the nose, rich caramel and vanilla lead, with a fine touch of toasted wood. The palate brings intense caramel and toffee alongside a distinctly spicy oak note. The finish is soft and lasts a long time.
