Jim Beam Rye – Pre-Prohibition Style (70cl, 40%)

A Kentucky straight rye whiskey from Jim Beam, made in the pre-Prohibition style as a nod to the days when rye was the usual American whiskey. It is bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. The mash bill contains plenty of rye, giving a spicier, livelier character than a regular bourbon. It suits Old Fashioneds and Manhattans, or can be drunk neat. The nose is soft spice, light vanilla and pepper. The palate brings spicy rye, caramel, citrus and black pepper. The finish is medium in length, spicy and warm.
