Jim Beam Winter Reserve is a seasonal, limited edition Kentucky straight bourbon from the James B. Beam Distilling Co. in Clermont, made under Master Distiller Fred Noe. It contains no added flavouring: the vanilla and cinnamon notes come from the wood.
Bourbon aged for at least six years is hand selected and given an additional finish in two toasted new white oak barrels. The mash bill is Jim Beam's low rye recipe, and the bourbon is bottled at 86 proof (43%) in a 75cl bottle.
The nose is sweet vanilla and cinnamon with a hint of clove. The palate is smooth, with vanilla, baked bread, brown sugar, cinnamon and light toasted oak. The finish is warm, with lingering baking spice.
