Johnnie Walker Blue Label Ghost and Rare Port Ellen

Johnnie Walker Blue Label Ghost and Rare Port Ellen is a limited edition blend and the first release in the Ghost and Rare series. It is built around whisky from Port Ellen on Islay, which ceased production in 1983. Master Blender Dr Jim Beveridge paired it with whiskies from other closed distilleries, including Carsebridge, Caledonian, Blair Athol, Oban, Mortlach, Cragganmore and Dailuaine. Tasting notes mention maritime smoke, orchard fruits, creamy vanilla, gentle citrus, toffee, warming spices and peat, with a long, silky finish.
