Juniper Hill is the pseudonym under which Murray McDavid bottles a Tomatin single malt in its Mystery Malt series. This one was distilled in 2015 and bottled in 2024 at a cask strength of 53.4%, in a 70cl bottle. It spent eight years in port wine casks and is bottled without chill filtration and without added caramel colouring. The nose has red berries, toasted oak and almonds with a hint of port. The palate offers dark cherries, sweet malt and cocoa. The finish brings mixed fruit, walnuts and oak, with lasting warmth.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
