Jura 12 Year Old is a single malt from the Isle of Jura distillery, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle.
It spent 12 years in American ex-bourbon barrels and was then finished in Oloroso sherry casks from Jerez in Spain. The distillery was established in 1810 and reborn in 1963.
The nose brings dark chocolate, honey, walnut and soft citrus. On the palate come coffee, salted bananas, liquorice and brown sugar.
