Jura Diurachs' Own is a 16 year old single malt Scotch whisky from the Isle of Jura, in a 1 litre bottle. The name honours the island's inhabitants, known as Diurachs.
It was matured for a minimum of sixteen years in oak casks. The distillery, established in 1810, is described as giving a gentle smokiness alongside fruit, spice and a subtle coastal note.
The nose offers orchard fruits, notably apple and pear, with toasted nuts, honey and a hint of sea air. The palate brings dark chocolate, orange zest and gentle spice, leading to a long, warming finish with lingering smokiness and a touch of salinity.
