This is Jura Prophecy, a heavily peated single malt Scotch whisky matured in Limousin oak casks. It comes in a 70cl bottle at 46% ABV, and the label mentions spicy sea spray.
The nose is round and silky, with cane sugar, caramel and milk chocolate before strong, rich peat recalling smoked pork, black pepper and celery salt. After a minute, citrus, flowers and melon appear. The palate is powerful, dry and oily, with immediate peat smoke, soft liquorice, vanilla, toffee and orange peel.
The finish holds dry peat smoke with dried herbs, black pepper and a steady marine saltiness.
