Kanekou Okinawa Whisky (70cl, 43%)

Kanekou is a Japanese whisky from the Shinzato Distillery on Okinawa, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. Shinzato is the oldest distillery on the island, with roots going back to 1846, when the Ryukyu Kingdom entrusted a handful of families in three Shuri villages with making awamori, the traditional local spirit. The Shinzato family made it under the Kanekou name, and the distillery is the only one from that time still working. In 2019 it began making whisky together with its global partner, Shin Group. Naoya Shinzato, a seventh-generation distiller, is the master blender.
