Kanosuke Hioki Pot Still Japanese Whisky (70cl, 51%)

Kanosuke Hioki Pot Still is a Japanese whisky made at Hioki Distillery, the grain whisky site of the Kanosuke family in Kagoshima. It comes in a 70cl bottle at 51% ABV. Malted and unmalted Japanese barley is distilled in stainless steel stills under vacuum pressure, a method more usual in shochu making than in whisky. The spirit is matured in new American white oak, ex-bourbon casks and re-charred ex-shochu casks, which the distillery says balance sweetness, fruit and wood.
