Kanosuke – Single Malt Sherry Casks Vatted

Kanosuke is a Japanese single malt from a distillery founded in 2017, drawing on the heritage of the Komasa house, which has worked with spirits since 1883. This edition vats whiskies from Oloroso and Cream sherry casks with a smaller share of American white oak. Casks that previously held shochu add the spicy Wa character. It is bottled without colouring and non-chill-filtered. The nose has dark cherries and the sweetness of freshly baked cake. The palate is rich with fruit cake, mangosteen and gentle spiced wood. The finish is long and balanced, with tropical fruit fading slowly.
