Kavalan Single Malt is a Taiwanese single malt made by marrying whiskies from bourbon, sherry, wine and refill casks. The bottle's outline echoes the silhouette of Taipei 101. It is bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle, chill-filtered and without added colour.
On the nose there is tropical fruit, especially mango, with butterfly orchid, honey, pear drops, vanilla, coconut and a little chocolate. The palate is fairly dense for its strength, moving from mango and passion fruit to lightly toasted wood, vanilla and cinnamon, with a hint of mint. The finish is fairly short, with tropical fruit giving way to citrus and soft wood.
