Kavalan Triple Sherry Cask is a single malt from Yilan County, Taiwan, bottled at 43% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It brings together whisky matured in three kinds of Spanish sherry cask: Oloroso, Pedro Ximénez and Moscatel.
The warehouses in Yilan are subtropical, and the hot, humid climate speeds the interaction between spirit and cask.
In the glass it is described as having raisin, fig and dark chocolate from the Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso, with a floral, honeyed sweetness from the Moscatel. The palate is rich and velvety, and the finish is long.
