Ken Wright Cellars Savoya Vineyard Pinot Noir 2022 Willamette Valley (75cl)

This is a single-vineyard Pinot Noir from Ken Wright Cellars, which was founded in Carlton, Oregon in 1994. The fruit comes from Savoya Vineyard in the Yamhill-Carlton AVA, where Jory and Bellpine soils and a marine-influenced climate shape the wine. The winery believes Pinot Noir should speak of the place it grows, and Savoya is one of thirteen sites farmed across the northern Willamette Valley. The nose combines crushed red cherries, pomegranate seeds, toasty spice, vanilla, white chocolate and wild forest herbs. On the palate come ripe red cherry, raspberry, bramble, nutmeg, white pepper and violet, with lively acidity and ripe, gripping tannins. The finish is long and complex.
